Our Story: From the Docks to a Continent
The year was 1972. Rotterdam, freshly recovering from war scars, was rising fast into Europe’s busiest port city a place where ships lined the horizon and cranes danced above the Maas River. Amid this industrial transformation, two visionary men, Tim Veldkamp and Jacob de Boer, stood at the heart of the chaos not as captains of ships, but as believers in people.
They saw what few did: behind every container moved, every warehouse filled, every ship unloaded there was a person. A worker. A need. A gap. And so, with little more than a shared desk, a rotary phone, and a deep understanding of labor, Tim & Jacob Staffing was born.
Built by the Port, for the Port
Starting from a small office near the old Rotterdam docks, Tim & Jacob began placing dock workers, forklift drivers, and warehouse teams. They weren’t just filling roles they were building relationships, understanding shift needs, and anticipating logistical demand before their clients even asked. By the late 1980s, their reputation had spread across the Netherlands.
From Rotterdam to Europe
As Europe globalized, so did the workforce. Tim & Jacob adapted moving from purely local staffing to international recruitment, sourcing skilled workers from across the globe.
